This Privacy Policy explains how Skalarev (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you visit our website, create an account, or use our products.

Who we are

Skalarev provides online tools for educators and organizations, including PlannerAI, SubTrack, and LendAI. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at info@skalarev.com.

Data we collect

Depending on how you use Skalarev, we may collect:

• Account data — such as your email address, display name, authentication status, and password credentials handled by our authentication provider.
• Organization data — such as tenant or school membership, roles, invitations, invited email addresses, and permission settings.
• Product content — such as unit planners, planner settings, subject/year selections, notes, AI prompts, and AI responses you choose to generate or save.
• Billing data — such as checkout status, product entitlements, subscription identifiers, and payment-related events handled through our billing provider, Polar.sh. We do not store full card details.
• Technical data — we do not collect technical data such as device, browser, log, security, or usage information needed to operate, protect, and improve the service. The only time we would collect this information is when you submit a bug report.
• Analytics data — we do not collect analytical data.
• Cookie choices — we store your cookie preferences so we can remember your choices.

How we use data

We use personal data to:

• Provide, secure, and maintain Skalarev products.
• Create and manage accounts, sign-ins, password resets, and email confirmations.
• Manage organizations, roles, invitations, subscriptions, and product access.
• Save and display user-created content, including unit planners and planner settings.
• Generate AI-assisted suggestions when you request them.
• Send service emails, respond to support requests, and communicate important product updates.
• Respond to support requests and bug reports, including the technical information you choose to provide in a bug report.
• Meet legal, accounting, tax, and compliance obligations.

AI features

PlannerAI can send your prompt, selected planner context, user ID, tenant ID, and related system instructions to our own AI service, hosted on our servers in the EU, so it can generate a response. The AI service does not store AI prompts or generated responses within the service. If you accept a generated response and add it to a product field, such as a unit planner field, that content is stored in our SQL database as part of your product content. As an end user, do not include sensitive student, health, financial, or other special-category personal data in AI prompts.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to operate Skalarev. We use Supabase for authentication and database services, Resend for account emails, Polar for checkout and subscription management, Vercel for hosting, and our own internal AI infrastructure hosted in the EU for requested AI assistance. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services to us.

Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies and local storage help the app work, including sign-in, security, and remembering cookie choices. Your saved product preferences are stored in your account on our servers, not in cookies. We do not collect analytical data. Legal bases

Where EU or UK data protection law applies, we process personal data based on one or more legal bases: performing a contract with you or your organization, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and compliance with legal obligations.

Sharing data

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with service providers, within your organization according to product permissions, when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

Retention

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide Skalarev, maintain records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect the service. Account and product content may remain until it is deleted by you, your organization, or us under applicable retention procedures. Some backup, billing, security, or audit records may be retained for longer where necessary.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including authenticated access, role-based permissions, secure service integrations, and restricted administrative access. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so please use a strong password and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

International transfers

Skalarev and its providers may process data in countries other than where you live. When required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections provided by our service providers.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data. Children and students

Skalarev is designed for educators and organizations, not for direct use by children. Users should avoid entering identifiable student personal data unless their organization has confirmed that doing so is permitted and appropriate.
